I am a visionary leader with a global track record of transforming cutting-edge science and technology into impactful, real-world solutions. From pioneering AI-driven decision support systems in healthcare to spearheading innovative machine learning products in consumer technology, my career has been defined by a relentless drive to improve lives through technology.

I was born in Tehran, Iran, where I excelled in the national university entrance exam, earning a place to study electrical engineering for my undergraduate degree. My passion for solving complex problems led me to London, where I pursued an advanced degree in Signal Processing at King’s College London. Completing my Master’s degree with distinction, I earned a prestigious full overseas scholarship—awarded to only a select few annually—to pursue a PhD in the fall of 2009.

In May 2013, I completed my PhD under the guidance of Professor Eike Nagel, the late Dr. Philip Batchelor, and Professor Marcel Breeuwer at the Division of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical Engineering, King’s College London. My doctoral work focused on designing, developing, and validating an automated myocardial perfusion quantification tool that supports clinical decision-making for managing coronary artery disease. This innovative decision support system remains a valuable tool in clinical myocardial perfusion research.

Following my PhD, I worked as a research fellow in the Institute of Child Health at Birmingham Children’s Hospital under the mentorship of Professor Andrew Peet. From 2015 to 2018, my research centred on developing and evaluating an AI-based decision support system  (MIROR) to create a personalised diagnostic pipeline for childhood brain tumours, advancing the accuracy and impact of paediatric care.

In 2018, I joined Dyson as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, where I collaborated with scientists, designers, and engineers to identify opportunities for embedding machine learning into cutting-edge products. By 2019, I was leading some of Dyson’s most exciting research portfolios, bringing advanced artificial intelligence capabilities to market. My focus was on overcoming technical and market challenges to develop innovative products that enhance people's lifestyles.

Today, I serve as the Senior Director of Technology Development in the Office of the CTO at Worldpay, a Fortune 500 fintech company. In this role, I lead Generative AI innovation and strategy across the organisation and headig  the AI centre of excellence.

​

With a career spanning leadership roles across research, product innovation, and technology development, I have built and mentored high-performing global teams in Europe, the U.S., and Asia.

 

My work at organizations like Dyson, Healx, and others has involved launching groundbreaking AI products, shaping enterprise strategies, and forging impactful industry partnerships.
